Our Good Louisa. The Goeie Louisa as you may know it from the past, has been given a makeover. We have been undergoing a major renovation. And during this renovation we also changed the name of the Goeie Louisa. We would like to introduce to you: ‘Bistro Karel 5’.
We would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to Brasserie Goeie Lousia, but we would like to welcome you to Bistro Karel 5!

Bistro Karel 5, the new Goeie Louisa

Our former Brasserie Goeie Louisa is now a lot bigger and we now give you the opportunity to enjoy our attached cozy open monastery kitchen. Here you can enjoy Goeie Louisa her traditional dishes. In our kitchen we have chef Mat Zwetsloot who is ready for you every day. He makes classic dishes for you from seasonal products that often come from the region. Would you like to come along for a nice cup of coffee with cake or a glass of wine? Then you are of course welcome in our bistro. We have a surprising drinks menu that includes more than just croquettes. On the spacious terrace in the apple and pear orchard of the former Goeie Louisa, now Bistro Karel 5, you will experience a lovely open and casual atmosphere. Move to the terrace when the sun is shining, or come in nice and warm on a colder day.

A lot is possible at our bistro. We organize different types of events or lunches. Our brasserie is very popular among the locals in Utrecht. But tourists and business people have also discovered our bistro. What makes everyone feel at home is the informal ‘casual classic’ atmosphere. 
In addition, our quality cuisine has an excellent price-quality ratio.

If you would like to try our afternoon tea, that is definitely recommended. It is a subtle variation on high tea. You can enjoy it from 14:00.
